It is a scholarship provided by the institute for those students who are financially weak and not able to get a scholarship from any other sources like-NSP,State government scholarship etc.

I. Scholarship is only for SC/ST student.

II. Family annual income should be less than 4.5 lacs

III. The student should not be in receipt of any other scholorships from any state/central Govt./PSU/Private organizations. An undertaking in the prescribed format in this regard is to be submitted along with the application.

IV. The student should have secured a minimum CGPA of 5.0 up to the previous semester. This is not applicable for the PhD and 1st semester B.Tech/M.tech/MCA/MBA/MSc students.

For Btech/MCA/MBA/MSc

• I. Actual Hostel/Mess fees paid at the NITK Hostels office.
• II. Book and stationary charges upto Rs. 6,000/- per year
• III. One time support towards purchasing of laptop upto Rs. 45,000/- .
• IV. Award as a money on the basis of CGPA: Rs. 18,000 for CGPA between 8 and 10, Rs.12,000 for CGPA between 6.5 and 8.

For Mtech/Phd

• I. A sum of upto Rs. 45,000/- as one-time support towards purchasing of a laptop.
